Risk assessment
When you are planning to lead a walk for the group, please pay careful attention to the risk assessment, RA, which we have written to cover our walks. This can be found here. If there are any issues which are not covered by our general RA, please let the Walks Coordinator know and we can edit the RA as required.

There are lots of useful resources on Oxfordshire area website, such as the Routes finder and a list of Starting places.
To work out a grid reference
Try this "grid reference finder" - click on the location on the map to get postcode, grid reference and longitude and latitude!

To find a post code
Use this link if you have a grid reference and what to know the postcode or find your on Googlemaps - the postcode is shown
Car parks
The easiest way to find car parks, and details of times and payments, is to Google the name of the place and "parking", which will you give you a map. You can also try Parkopedia.
Its a good idea to check access times, and to provide people with information about parking prices.
Ramblers: Places - Want somewhere to start a walk? includes places Ramblers Groups have used for walks in the past, either as the meeting place for the walk or the actual start of the walk. Many of these will be car parks, bus/train stations suitable for either starting a walk or for car sharing. PLEASE note that while Ramblers Groups have used these locations it DOES NOT mean that they are suitable for your use. There is an information notice that states this page may be withdrawn.
