Our walks calendar is managed from the central Ramblers "Group Walks and Events Manager"; walks submitted for our group (OX40) are linked to our group so that they appear on our calendar.
Getting started
You first need to register as a walk leader. Then you will need to complete the online training which is provided by Ramblers.
Once you have done this, please contact the Webmaster, Chair, or Walks secretary to be registered as "contributor", so that you can submit walks. You only need to do this once.
Adding a walk to the calendar
- Cick on the "Submit a walk" on the Walks tab.The form is provided by Ramblers, and has two parts. It looks a little intimidating at first, but most of it is optional and straightforward. Please provide as much detail as possible in the optional part.
- Aim to include as much of the information as possible but you can add detail later.
- You will need a grid reference for the start point (easy guide here) but bear in mind that people may not understand grid refs! Please also provide a postcode for sat nav users (refer to Google maps, for example; car parks usually have post codes) and a description of where the parking is if the postcode covers a large area.
- If have difficulty with the walk submission, please contact Walks secretary, Chair, or Webmaster, who will be happy to help you.
