Route The walk takes in the pleasing villages of South Moreton, East Hagbourne, Upton, Blewbury and both Astons Upthorne and Tirrold. There are many interesting churches/chapels en route, several pubs (at least one one of which I'm hoping to stop at) and few railway lines. Oh and I'll chuck in an Iron Age hillfort for free. So, something for everyone, I hope!

Details are available on their website (just 'google' Sarsen Trail 2012 for full information).  There are 4 different length routes 7, 11 15 and finally 26 miles, hopefully a good group could be formed to do the 26 mile challenge! All but one of the routes start at Avebury with the 26 mile walk finishing at Stonehenge. Don't worry there will be no need to walk back to your car as free buses are provided to return you to the start point! Please email me if you would like to do one of the walks, stating where you live, and I will co-ordinate names, group into the route chosen and facilitate car sharing.  However please note you will need to book and pay individually for your entry direct to the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust.
Entries can be made on the day but to ensure a place before travelling prebooking is advised - also there is a reduced 'early bird' price if applying before 19th March.
